La pointe de la Torche

The Pointe de la Torche is a must for thrill-seekers… Surfing, Kite-surfing, Paddle-surfing, Wind-surfing. The “spot” at La Torche is regularly chosen to host French, European and World championships in Paddle-Surf and Windsurf. A World Surf League event is frequently held on the La Torche site.

Just 25 km from our campsite, this peninsula is a breathtaking sight in every sense of the word. The point is a popular spot for board sports and sailing. These include surfing, windsurfing, kite surfing, wave-skiing, bodyboarding and sand yachting.

Sea bass and flatfish are also caught here. “You’ll be able to try your hand at extreme board sports, with an instructor for novices. The more experienced will enjoy the sensations of sports in Gironde or Landes.
