The 3-star Le Helles campsite in Bénodet has everything in place to keep you busy if cloudy skies or showers prevent you from getting to the beach. Holidaymakers can enjoy the pool area from a sheltered position, thanks to the 90 m² indoor pool with water heated to 28°C [or 29°C?]. Camping Le Helles also has a sauna area, so you can quickly forget the rain.
For children aged 4 to 12, Camping Le Helles offers a Mini Club in July and August. Indoor crafts, painting and coloring workshops are also available. Something to keep the little ones busy in case of bad weather!

Fill up on indoor cultural visits in Bénodet
A visit to the Musée du Bord de Mer in Bénodet is a must: this is the emblematic museum of Finistère’s leading seaside resort. Throughout the year, it features a permanent exhibition retracing the history of the first sea baths and leisure activities on the Breton coast, as well as temporary exhibitions. The Musée du Bord de Mer is free of charge and welcomes families. Open Thursday to Monday from September to June, then 7/7 in July and August (closed on public holidays).
Heritage enthusiasts can take refuge in Bénodet’s parish churches. First of all, Saint-Thomas Church, dating from the 13th century: located on Bénodet harbor, it’s open every day from 10am to 7pm. TheChurch of Notre-Dame-de-la-Mer is contemporary, but stands out for its 15thᵉ century wooden Pietà: it is located on Avenue de la Mer and is open from mid-July to mid-August, Monday to Saturday, 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
And why not make a painting in the rain? Head for the Cinémarine cinema, with its two comfortable 110- and 310-seat auditoriums. Adjacent to the Casino Barrière, on the corniche of Bénodet, it offers the biggest films of the moment, as well as themed evenings and previews throughout the year.
